Human

Genetics

Project

The picture to the left is my nephew, Michael, who died
December 16, 2009 of the genetic disorder, Cystic Fibrosis. You are
going to work in groups of 3 or 4 to investigate a human
genetic disorder. Your task will be to produce a wiki page
that helps us to understand a disorder. We will
be working on this project for two weeks. You will
have to work together!!!!!You will have until the last week
of the quarter to edit and add to your project. Exceptional
projects may earn extra credit. For more information about
my nephew you can visit his CaringBridge website.

Basic questions you need to answer:

  • What are genetic disorders?

  • How do you get them?

  • What is it like to have them?

  • Can they be cured?

  • Can our class produce a wiki to address the above questions?

Specific questions are listed on the wiki page set up for your group. Find your topic in the pages listed
in the column to the left.
